What is your catering specialty?

The Trendy Chef Catering is one of the only catering companies in Southern California that specializes in all cuisines. Rather it’s German, Italian, Japanese, American, Soul food or Thai food, we will get it done for you. Our head chef and food network star has traveled the world to learn and perfect foods from many different cultures.

What size events do you handle?

We’ve been in the catering business for more than 6 years. So, we have the experience, expertise and staff to handle parties—big and small—from large weddings and corporate events to backyard bashes and office meetings.

Do you have a staff of waiters and bartenders to serve at events?

Yes. Whether it is a formal plated meal, family-style dining or a buffet, we have a team of qualified service staff to make sure your event runs smoothly.

Do you deliver catering orders?

Yes, but we have a $50 delivery fee but that can change depending on the distance.

Do you offer dinningware?

Yes, we can provide a really nice plastic matching set of utensils, plates, cups and napkins we also offer the option to rent glassware.

How many people does your small, medium and large trays feed?

For our cold appetizers and salad trays, a small order typically feeds around 10 people; medium orders feed between 10 and 20 people and large orders feed between 20 and 50 people, depending on the food item. And for side dishes, entrees, pasta and vegetable, you can order a half tray that serves between 8 and 10 people and a full size, which feeds 15 to 20 people. We are budgeting experts, so we can design a menu that feeds as many people as possible without breaking the bank or compromising on freshness or flavor.

I want to have our next company meeting catered. How far in advance should I put my order in?

We can put together a spread in 48 hours, but not all items on our menus will be available. If you call 72 hours in advance, the whole menu is available.

Can I order non-alcoholic drinks through you for our catered business meeting?

Not at the moment.

Do you have gluten-free dishes?

Yes. Please let us know any and all food allergies and we can work with your to design a menu that is inclusive of everyone.

Do you also make desserts?

Yes. Some of our favorites include: tiramisu, baklava, chocolate molten lava cake and cannoli. But, we are able to make anything you’d like.

Can you make Nana's stuffed cabbage?

Yes! As your caterer, we work for you, and we are happy to help you make the vision you have for your event a reality.

How many guests do I need to be eligible for a buffet catering package?

We have a 15-person minimum for buffet packages.

Do you cater outside of California?
Yes, they will be a room and board charge, also the catered event can not exceed 15 people. If your catered event does exceed this amount. Give us a call to go over further details.
I saw you had a food truck. Is that available for private parties?

“The Trendy Chef Catering,” also has a mobile kitchen (10×10 food booth which can be rented out for private parties and events, markets, local fairs, rehearsal dinners and after-parties.
